Bottom line: The LDS Church never agreed not to baptize for those who have an LDS descendant nor should they.

I think that the Jewish guy is being irrational about this. He doesn't believe in Mormonism, and the Mormon worldview, and so he must therefor believe that what the Mormons are accomplishing by necro-dunking his parents is exactly nothing.
If the Mormon Church is true, then he should be happy his parents were necrodunked into it, and if the Mormon Church is not true, then what Mormons do in his parents' names behind their closed door of their secret temples is just so much nonsense, and certainly doesn't affect his dead parents in the least.

Who cares? Its another black eye for LDS Inc in the view of the public. Gotta love that!
The point he is making, at least the one I see, is that the Nazi's victimized them first, then the Mormons victimized them again, all in the name of making money off the unwitting sheep who are told they must do temple work for the dead! What an easy list of obviously non Mormon names --the holocaust victim list.

The Nazis inarguably victimized his parents when they gassed them and incinerated their bodies.
But in what sense of the word the LDS church "victimizes" dead people by spouting meaningless drivel and then saying their names, while a young teenager is momentarily immersed in water, I really cannot fathom.
The parents are dead. Nothing could possibly be done at this point which victimizes them.
And the children or other relatives of those the LDS necrodunks, well, as I said in my original post, if they don't believe in the LDS church, or the Mormon version of God, then they must necessarily believe that the act was meaningless. I can understand a certain motivation to look around for reasons to be offended, but it still counts as looking around for ways to be offended. I don't have oodles of sympathy for these offended Jews, in this case. I am willing to go out on a limb and suggest that there are approximately ten trillion things they could spend their time and attention on that would be more useful than this.

I disagree. It "victimizes" their memory, and is particularly disrespectful where the ancestors in question were exterminated for their religion. If I felt the memory of my ancestors (which is really the only thing left of the ancestors) was being disrespected, I would be very pissed. Where a group like this objects, the Church ought to have the sense to stop it, and then have faith that the work will be completed during the Millennium.

I wonder how many headstones and memorials for these victims have RIP on them. The Morg in no way allows anyone to Rest in Peace. I too believe the whole baptism and endowment for the dead ritual is a farce and believing so makes it useless and harmless in my view but to a totally different culture it seems to dishonor them and perhaps they believe it is harmful. Anyway they have objected for whatever their reasons and the Morg can't honor their wishes even after making agreements that they would.
It sure is easy to identify the typical Morg mode of operation here.

Oh yeah these money grubbing Mormons are on top of this!
Read about it on
CNN.comChurch officials say a new version of the database, called New Family Search, is being tested overseas and should reduce the problems. In the works for six years, the new database will discourage the submission of large lists of unrelated individuals. It will also separate names intended for temple rites from those submitted purely for genealogical purposes, the church states in a letter sent to Michel on Nov. 6.
The church also proposes jump-starting a monitoring committee formed in 2005 to review database entries. The committee has met just once since 2005.
The Catholics are making a preemptive move to protect their dead:
In May, the Vatican ordered Catholic dioceses worldwide to withhold member registries from Mormons so that Catholics could not be baptized.

I want to know what's going to happen when we start baptising dead Muslims.

Are Mormons having that much problems finding new names to do temple work for?
What happens when they run out of names?
Maybe the Chuch can come up with a "Do Not do proxy work" list of names of living people who do not want work done for them after they die.
(Sort of like the "do not call" list.)
