LDS Scriptures Condemn Proposition 8?

Does the following condemn proposition 8?
D&C 49:15 And again, verily I say unto you, that whoso forbiddeth to marry is not ordained of God, for marriage is ordained of God unto man.


(yes, I believe I'm twisting the scriptures, but I wondered what others think)

How does that square with the Old Testament where God said to Moses, "Let there be Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve"?

Are you suggesting the talking snake wasn't dealing with a women as such, rather a pre-op transexual?

Heavens no. I'm suggesting that Eve and Steve may have been gender neutral names in Adamic--something akin to Pat or Chris.
