Democracy in action: Dr. Shades knuckles under

There have been several concerns voiced of late, specifically that certain posters have departed the board thanks to style of commentary employed by certain other posters.
I was (and still am) of the opinion that the judicious use of the ignore feature would solve those problems. Others disagreed, saying that offending posts must be moved to other forums, specifically the Telestial Forum.
So, what the heck? There's no reason to assume that I'm always right, so why not let democracy work its magic and give the people what they want?
Therefore, I hereby make the following proposition:
Whoever believes that the ignore feature is NOT the solution AND ALSO believes that ad hominems, personal attacks, etc. need to be moved to the Telestial Forum (or the Terrestrial Forum, if they take place in the Celestial Forum), are you, and each of you, willing to become moderators?
If so, are you willing to add a moderator note to each post you move, stating the reason(s) why you moved it?
If so, are you willing to field, pacify, or otherwise deal with every complaint you may receive subsequent to your actions, and keep all the "heat" as far away from me as possible?
If so, let's talk.
.

I would do it in the Celestial only on a trial basis starting with a month. However, no ad hominems have been occurring there for some time, and there's not been much discussion going on.
But I would do it to show that you can moderate ad homs, fallacious or not out of discussions.
I'm not sure that it can be done in Terrestial, lots of discussion aren't meant to be taken seriously. Plus, I wouldn't want to spend the time reading each and every post there. So I don't think having ad homs out of Celestial would solve much of the problem, necessarily. Note: I haven't complained about ad homs in Terrestial.
p.s. I have to go out for a few hours so I won't be responding during that time.

Only if I'm allowed to consign posts by anyone I don't like to Outer Darkness. If so, let's talk. :)
P.S. A simpler solution: BRING BACK SMILIES!!!!!!!!

I can tell by the massive response and heated discussion that people are really passionate about this topic, so much so they all want to become moderators and enforce their own rule ideas. Awesome!

So everybody gets to be a moderator and move posts? Give me a break!
The person who engages in personal attacks only presents a bad image of himself. Why should we help him maintain a clean image by taking out the garbage for him? Example: when Kevin Graham calls somebody an idiot in almost every post, it mostly hurts Kevin.... He's got a reputation now.
please don't let the board nannys take over this place.

Shades, I'm already a Moderator, so just tell me what the new rules are, and I'll provide the appropriate action.

Sorry Dr. Shades, But I would never want to become a Moderator here. I am now very happy that I am a Holy Ghost here.

I've been out all day, doing important stuff... getting a pedicure and a fill for my nails, getting a perm, getting my ears pierced, shopping for a new sleep number mattress, and ... what else? Oh yeah... eating lunch.
So this is the first time I've had the opportunity to catch up.
Dude, you don't need a nanny; you already communicate in an adult manner. PP, on the other hand, has all the tact and finesse, not to mention civility, of a caffinated 12 year old wannabe gangbanger.
So... Shades, if Liz needs help, you can call on me. I used to own an asbestos suit, and I'm sure if I let out the seams, I can still put it on.
