For those of us who grew up thinking that baptism for the dead is normal, this sort of thing fails to have any impact.

I fail to see the connection between 8 and baptism for the dead other than that people dislike the church's involvement in it.

ROFL, that is hilarious. And if any Mormons read it and are horribly offended, then GREAT, now they perhaps can think about that for a moment, and realize that that's exactly how some others have felt at the idea that Mormons are baptizing their dead relatives and friends into Mormonism.

That's how I feel. I basically see baptism for the dead [especially of Holocaust victims] as pissing on the graves of people.

I simply realized that the "God of the Homos" doesn't exist and therefore the prayer has no effect on my dead relatives. Therefore, I wasn't in the least offended and sent in my latest list of 144 aids victims to be baptized for.

There is nothing offensive about dispelling, via the amendment process, a fictitious "right" conjured out of thin air by four judges.
