Does that mean they're going to investigate the church or the corporations owned by the church?

I doubt this will amount to much, in the end. The church did almost all of their dirty work by asking the members to do it, and the members have their own rights as citizens to be involved in whatever political cause they want. I think relatively little was done by the actual LDS church, proper, other than urging the members on.

The investigation is routine. The commission would be derelict in not taking this and 95% of the complaints to it taken seriously.

True. I'm sure the church spent a lot of time with lawyers making sure they had their butts covered. However, we all know it wasn't just members spontaneously organizing and sending in money. Members were actually called as the organizers for their ward. In AZ, we had a guy who was called as the Prop 202 coordinator. His job was to make phone calls and organize the ward members to support Prop 202. I'm not sure how officially he was called, but he was the guy, and he used church meetings in the church building to get the word out. It seems there might be problem if callings were issued and church buildings were used for Prop 8 activities. I can't imagine the church making a legal blunder, but those facts seem to be problematic.

Hi There,
A Minor Correction to made here. It is Proposition 102, Within the Great State of Arizona that You are really referring to, and Not Proposition 202 within Arizona. Proposition 102, within Arizona,
Which Won within Arizona, was the Proposition that secured the traditional Definition of Marriage as one man and one woman, Within the State Constitution of the State of Arizona.
Proposition 202 lost, within the State of Arizona.

Were they protesting all the Mormons to be found at Starbucks, CollegeTerrace? And how do you know all these Mormons weren't drinking hot cocoa? ;-)
