New blog for LDS to apologize for Prop. 8 ...

Post by _Rollo Tomasi »

Well, at least some saints get it. Below is a link to a new blog where LDS can apologize for the Church's support of Prop. 8:

"Moving beyond apologist persuasion, LDS polemicists furiously (and often fraudulently) attack any non-traditional view of Mormonism. They don't mince words -- they mince the truth."

-- Mike Quinn, writing of the FARMSboys, in "Early Mormonism and the Magic World View," p. x (Rev. ed. 1998)

Speak softly and carry a big gun? Like that's going to help???
(Nevo, Jan 23) And the Melchizedek Priesthood may not have been restored until the summer of 1830, several months after the organization of the Church.

As an individual who is opposed to Prop 8 and a TBM, I think this site is the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen.

How can some of these people presume to apologize for a Church that isn't apologetic? And why do some seem absolutely stunned that the Church would support such a measure? I'm mean, honestly, have the read the Proclamation on the Family? Stop whining and cough up some money and time to help oppose the measure. Call all your Gay friends and assure them you support Gay marriage. But don't whine on an anonymous website about some BS politically correct quasi sympathetic nonsense.

phew!

Big UP!
