Yep, that literary paragon of virtue is hurting thanks to the downturn in the economy (see link below). The Proctors are asking for $10 donations. As for me, the laughter I experienced after reading one article's title -- "Uranus Testifies of Christ" -- alone was worth $10.

Uranus is a source of inexhaustible humor to eight-year-old boys.
So. Have you donated?

What do Captain Kirk and toilet paper have in common?
They both went to Uranus to wipe out Klingons.

I think they need to reconsider their choice of cover model.
Did you catch the part where they beg for money because homosexuals hacked their site:
Meridian has been hacked into twice this past year, costing us dearly and underlining the need for us to move to the next level of technology. Reporting on the family and marriage, from our value system, has made us a target.

That is the Joseph Smith translation of the original!
The original:
What do the USS Enterprise and toilet paper have in common?
The both circle Uranus and get rid of Klingons
Another Star Trek fav, though you must know the first episodes fairly well, at least the beginning part:
What did Spock see in the toilet?
Captain's log

Meridian commits the two cardinal sins of internet Magazines: poor design and fuzzy vision. I wouldn't contribute to a Meridian bailout unless they publicized their vision for cleaning up the website design, and bringing greater focus to their content.

None of that would matter if the people who ran Meridian were faithfully paying their tithing. My guess is either someone didn't pay a full tithe this year, or they did so grudgingly.

C'mon, Dan, admit you chuckled when you read the title of that article.
