Its the Little Things that count

Lets compare two posts by two different people:
Person A:
What a paranoid moron. Theocratic revolution!
Person B:
What a paranoid (Moderator edit by harmony: delete personal attack). Theocratic revolution!
[/quote]
Person B did not actually say what he said. He screwed up the quotation and it only looks like he posted it. Nevertheless though, Person B got edited because it looks like he is calling person A bad names.
Why do I bring this up? Because it clearly displays Harmony's bias in editing, even if it is a minor thing.
Just my two cents. Look for the thread if you want the direct evidence.

I concur with Liz. Harmony would edit out the original insult too, not just the quoted one.

The mistake was Mercury's NOT harmony.
Here is the post in question:
http://mormondiscussions.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?p=213735#p213735lThe original line was in a post by dart. Mercury did a poor job of quoting it in his post.
harmony simply deleted the material from Mercury's post because Mercury failed to quote dart properly.

Wrong. Harmony deleted my comments because she is biased. The point is that when dart called me names he got a pass. When it appeared that I had called Dart names then it was edited.
The fact that it was not quoted properly is irrelevant. Dart says bad things, no editing. It appears as if I said the same thing and I get edited. Your failure to see this is not a surprise though Jersey.

I think the fact that Harmony is very pro Mormon is what people are taking issue with, not her moderating. Liz is pro Mormon too, but I think that she has perhaps developed a bit more of a relationship with certain folks on the board over time, and they are more comfortable with her.
I saw it on another LDS debate forum, a young LDS man took over moderating, and before he could edit one post, there was such an uproar...because he wasn't exmo or hard critic. Unlike Harmony, he actually did go Nazi and lost his priviliges.
To be honest, I have never seen anything from any of the mods, even Marg who turns my tummy, that I would consider objectionable...as a mod. But I'm not here all the time either. Still, I don't know what all the fuss about Harm is for...
I could be moderating again. Count your blessings...

Actually, that you didn't quote correctly is the entire problem.
I find your assumption that I favored Dart to be hilarious. I have no great love for Dart. We aren't exacty on the same page.
So, next time, quote correctly, and I'll edit both.

I figured it was just so much more interesting to read Merc than dart that you missed what dart said. I know that when I attempt to read dart lately, I start to nod off, since that it's the same, tired, senseless BS he always writes. I might get about a sentence and a half in before skipping to the next post in order to avoid a coma.

If this thread gets any dirtier I'm gonna pull up my pants and go home.
Sorry about exposing another little thing.

But she did not. Lets look at the timeline of this incedent:
1. Douche says bad things
2. Douche is not edited
3. Merc misproperly quotes douche's comments
4. Bigger douche edits mercs misquoted comments
5. Merc sees a discrepancy and illuminates said inconsistency
6. Jersey looks like the biggest douche there is defending bigger douche than original douche
Just so we are clear
