Not having read the MAD board for a time, I was recently surprised by some new, and some not so new posters there who write the most unpleasant, uncivil, and generally senseless posts I've come across in a while. We've our share of eccentrics here, for certain, but I'm not sure we can compete with the likes of the following:

JLFuller. He's like Coggins lite, but instead of seeing Nazi's and Socialists and Liberals around every corner, he harps on and on (senselessly, I might add), about Bible Colleges and Seminaries and the illiterates they produce. With all his mention of "Bait and Tackle Shops" I feel certain he's posting from one, when he's not busy scooping up minnows for customers.

Zerinus. He's a real asshole. Yes, that's crude, but it's simply the truth. Ceaselessly rude and abrasive, he seems impervious to the ridiculousness of his own arguments. Throwing out gems like this, he's sure to win the argument every time, at least in his own mind:

I have something better than the Greek to look at. I have the JST! Have you looked at that one by any chance?

Matthew G. He's no Pahoran, but Matthew seems to exist in a constant state of agitation. He "shouts" frequently, in all caps, and snaps at those who disagree with him, be they Mormon or ex-Mormon or never-Mormon critics. Something about his posts seems almost frantic. I don't know. I can't quite put my finger on it.

Obiwan. Goodness. I think he's a long-time poster on MAD, but I never really noticed him before. I wish I'd not have noticed him at all. From what I've read, he runs afoul of many Mormons on the MAD board. Paying his posts no mind appears to be the best strategy, and one many MAD posters seem to have taken.

Of course, MAD has our very own BCSpace and Droopy. Their posts there are similar to their posts here, and equally repetitive. "Second verse, same as the first..."

Oh, and what has become of Hammer? Did he fly off the handle and disappear? Get replaced by a pneumatic nail gun? Haven't seen him about the MAD board lately.

There are some great posters on MAD, as well. I wish some of them posted here more often. But, we spend enough time picking one another apart on this board, so I thought picking at folks from the MAD board might unite us in a common effort and bring us closer together as a group. Soon, we'll be holding hands and singing Kumbaya.

If I had to vote for the nuttiest poster over there, I would vote for lostindc. Check out his exchanges with Tarski and The Dude. They are hilarious. And sad.

JLFuller and Obiwan are definitely two of my least favorite posters there lately. And you can add the evangelical poster Billy to the list, too. Talk about obnoxious.

I was going to say that exactly, but I would also lump in Jeff K.

By the way, I believe the esteemed Hammer was finally banned.

I miss MAD&b.
It was a place where you one could participate in serious discussions with others
who took Book of Mormon tales seriously.
I did last quite a while, until DCP blew my cover identifying me (correctly I might add) as
heretic, or troll. As many others, who kicked out I wasn't hiding anything. Herr Doktor felt the
need snitching on me as he did to countless others. (Thank Gawd, this guy isn't in charge of who comes in Utah who doesn't. He probably wouldn't let heretics like me to enter Utah, fearing I'd corrupt some Sheep Saints).
It was fun while it lasted.
Now it is pointless to go there w'out participating it's no fun.

According to MDB demonology, I'm responsible for getting perhaps dozens of posters banned from the board formerly known as FAIR. Yet, curiously, I've never asked for even a single banning.

(I know, I know. The administrators over there sense the aura of the penumbra of a shadow of a hint of a premonition of my implicit yet unstated wish that a poster be banned, and, like Pavlov's trained dogs, they react instantly and with completely slavish obedience. I'm familiar with the myth.)

I haven't been visiting the MA&D Message Board lately. The MD Mesaage Board here is at least ten times better, than the MA&D Message Board.

I thought about setting up an ultra-TBM sockpuppet to illustrate the inanity of many official and unofficial LDS teachings. Then I saw lostindc, and realized I didn't have to.

So, then, if it is myth how come we 're not there anymore? It may sound funny they react instantly and with completely slavish obedience. but it is true. There are lots of Morgbots there, worshiping the ground you cover.

Why would the gaseous flatus attempt to make this thread about his disturbingly porcine ego?
