"The Urantia Book"
The first couple of chapters of the foreword are a bit um nonsensicle. That to me pretty much says nothing. I think the Author/s could have made it much more simple and much less eloquent but perhaps it is supposed to be difficult for the lay person to understand. I liked the cosmology part though.
I have some questions...
Where did this book come from and why is it here? Who had the time to make it and should it be taken as literall or a bunch of bull from someones imagination?
If anyone has access to this book perhaps we could read it and discuss it together. I do not believe it is copy righted because there is no known Author and so I am sure it should be ok to copy parts of the text in here. If I am wrong please correct me.
I read the parts; "Deity and Divinity", "God" and part of "The Source and Centre" from the foreword. It was late at night but I manages to salvage that the Author likes the word deity and lots of words that I personally don't use often. And, that there are different types and levels of deity. Seven levels; Static, Potential, Associative, Creative, Evolutional, Supreme and Ultimate. I think people have different views of what deity actually is and we all become confused about religion etc because of our image of God. According to the book there are also different levels of reality; Finite, Absonite and Absolute. Also existentialism was mentioned a lot.
I think this book could be made simpler and that more could be added to the Deity section.
What is your idea of deity?
Feel free to discuss. :D
