GAY MARRIAGE LEGALIZED BY HEDONISTIC COASTAL STATE... Iowa?

A unanimous decision in favor of equality under the law.
As usual, the Morgbots on the other board are frothing about 'judicial tyranny'. Interesting that they use that last word, because the original tyrants were often leaders who trampled on the interests of minorities with the consent or blessing of the majority. Sound familiar, guys?
The people who are whining about judicial tyranny apparently believe that the rules of Napoleon and Hitler were laudable because, even though both had little respect for minority rights, they were both popular leaders.
Whatever. History will not be favorable to them.

I thought you had to be 14 years old to post on this board?

Considering how history demonstrates changing tides in all sorts of things, I wonder what notions held by the sensible ones today will be condemned. Slavery used to be acceptable (not that I think it should have been). Subjugating woman was just peachy. So what will we be condemned for in the future? Will it be how we treat children (very few rights)? Will it be how we treat those accused of sexual crimes (careers are destroyed even for the innocent)?
For some reason I'm not particularly worried about how the future looks back and condemns me. I'm fine with my attitude about homosexuality because I would accept things if the shoe were on the other foot and I were treated according to my attitudes--I don't harass gays. I treat them like I do single people. I'm fine if they treat me in a similar manner. Oh, and they can think that my lifestyle is a sin. Doesn't bother me.

It would bother you if they tried to take away your due process rights because they think your lifestyle is a sin, wouldn't it?
I don't have a problem with people who think homosexuality is immoral, by the way.

I doubt his Girlfriend would like Iowa..
God has the right to create and to destroy, to make like and to kill. He can delegate this authority if he wishes to. I know that can be scary. Deal with it.

It wouldn't if they tried doing to me what I or the LDS church have tried doing to them this last year (I did nothing since I'm not in CA or AZ or UT).

You don't have a problem with laws that discriminate between groups of people without an overriding public interest reason? Interesting.

To be clear, I don't love it but I could live with it. What I said originally was that I'm fine if they treat me as I've treated them. I stand by that statement.
