OK...I admit that I was a bad Mormon, and didn't watch conference this weekend. LOL
Did anyone catch some of it? Was there anything intriguing or same old, same old.

I was expecting the exmo translation by now. By tomorrow, it'd better be a magnum opus or I'll really be disappointed.

Well, you can jump the gun, then, and offer your thoughts on the real deal first!

A few thoughts. Really loved President Uchtdorf and President Eyring's Priesthood talks. Very good. Also liked President Packer's talk though it had no real overarching theme I could see. My friends and I named it, "Grandpa Packer tells it like it is."
There were a number of talks regarding hope and being of good cheer. A member of the Presiding Bishopric (Edgely) gave a great talk about coming together to build each other up and aid each other through economic hard times. President Eyring gave a talk on following impressions to help those in danger (physical or spriritual). President Monson ended Conference with a warning on pornography and a call to use Temples more often (though I slept through part of the last session so I may have missed something).
I unfortunately had obligations during the day Saturday to get some work done so while I listened to it it did not have my complete attention. I'll have to reread in Ensign. On Sunday morning my sister and I beat my sister and a friend in General Conference bingo 3 times out of 4.
Throughout Conference other then general spiritual impressions I also got three specific impressions of things I should change in my life. A successful and wonderful conference. :)

Well, Monson, Oaks, and others essentially signaled that the Church is still true. In other words, there is going to be no chance of a change in moral standards (such as gay marriage). Couldn't give you specifics until I'm able to read the transcripts but it boils down to emphasizing God's standards over the world's and reminding us that the opposition is active.
Did appreciate Uchdorf's "green light" talk in priesthood session.
Some people here will salivate over BKP's self reference of "I am nothing", but I'll leave it at that by way of tantalization.

I made it a point to attend the PH broadcast (passed on the cake-&-ice-cream:-) and the Sunday AM event. I wanted it 1st hand...
Predictable-Packer didn't disappoint: "...no body ornamentation...be careful where your hands go...YOU were born a MALE!!!" At his age--like me--he is not as audible as he once was...
Uchdorf's talk was refreshing. It appears obvious he is not a Utah Mormon of the Old-boys club. That in itself shows promise of a broader social view, if nothing else. We'll see...
Eyring came second with his military story--always a popular theme. The moral, "...being BOLD and a friend..." goes without question, and can be applied to everything one approaches in life. Like, to be a real friend, maybe I should be BOLDER bearing my testimony of the
Falseness of Mormonism... Most disappointing was Monson's: How the Priesthood cured Diareah and saved the day for the School Band to march iIn the Calgary Stampede Parade. It just didn't do much to demonstrate an effective Prophet-Seer-&-Revelator of the only True Church, and the oracle of God. I cannot imagine the Pope, or any other church leader on the world stage deliverying such a talk???
Sunday AM I didn't have a good seat to watch the measly size TV in our Branch. Why LDSism does't spend some of their billions to up-date Ward & Branch media-means, is beyond my imagination...Could it be economic
Annyyyway: I woke up as we stood to sing a hymn. So the 1st 45 minutes didn't do anything but rest me. The token female speaker--couldn't read her name :-( --scored low. Following her few minutes, I quietly made my way out into the sunshine and pleasantly did my 20 minute walk home.
The music: Typical 1950 Caucasion presentation of in-sync voices conforming to LDS style and standards of mediocrity. Unfortunately, clouds hovered over "Sunshine In Your Heart"...
All in all, my purpose was served. I saw folks who are probably well served and comfortable being there. (I was for many years.) It's nice for them... It is just no longer for me...

To find that out.Since we have a window open, I'll ask you a question: When you look back on your mission do you feel any guilt or remorse for taking Mormonism into the lives of those who converted under your influence? Or, do you feel good in some/any degree about their new-life?

Once I discovered that little of profundity would be discussed at General Conference, I saw no reason to watch. The same basic stuff is covered in most of the Church materials. Why spend a weekend fighting sleep when I can give in?
