Yes, clearly.

No, wait....not at all.

Was he paying tithing?

Nehor's right. This guy is more like the founders of false religions. This isn't like Joseph Smith (or any members of the Church*) at all:

"People just want to believe, and in some cases, even when the scam is exposed, they don't want to talk to us because they believe the guy instead," [Fred Joseph, commissioner of the Colorado Division of Securities] said. "The guys who do these things are very smooth, very convincing."

*Except for the people who were, in fact, members of the Church.

And I'm sure it had no similarity whatsoever with the leaders of evangelical mega-churches and televangelist ministries.

Mormon bishop running a Ponzi scheme

Out of curiosity, does the news routinely mention the religious affiliations of other big time swindlers?

Or was this mentioned solely because he was of ministerial rank?

LOL

I'm just laughing that somebody uses Fox News as their source.

There are several "apostates" from Joe's religion here, and referring to me as the apostate isn't fair to them. I humbly suggest something along the lines of first among equal Mormon apostates.
