I propose that, if GoodK doesn't publicly renounce this lawsuit idiocy in 24 hours, the moderators boot him from the board. I don't think he should be able to ruin it for the rest of us.

It is my belief, or at least very great hope, that this has been already been resolved, at least on GoodK's end, and no lawsuit is forthcoming.

how about a time out - one day for every year he has spent on this earth. If after his time out he does something then stupid give him another time out - he may find out that 99 percent of his time on this board is restricted.

Given the fact that:

1. GoodK posted an announcement that he plans to bring suit against Daniel Peterson on a thread that GoodK initiated himself describing his own plan to defame a staff member of the Utah Boys Ranch/Westridge for immoral personal conduct that has no bearing on his professional life.

2. GoodK's posted announcement contains a physical threat to Daniel Peterson.

3. GoodK has persisted in ignoring moderator warnings regarding posting PM content.

4. GoodK has persisted in ignoring moderator warnings regarding posting personal information on the board that the poster in question has not made overtly available on the board.

5. GoodK has posted at least one lewd and defammatory comment that holds harmony's screen name as well as mine (this, you see, is where it becomes personal for me).

My best advice is that GoodK should either be suspended to conduct his tantrum elsewhere or fully banned. If GoodK is permitted to play cut throat with posters personal information on this board, I don't think it will take long for others to respond in kind.

That's all I have to say at the moment.

Yeah, I'm really surprised by this outcry to ban a poster. Why are you people so personally invested in this? It's not like he threatened you.

I'm honestly curious because I haven't really read anything that explains what's so offensive about threatening a lawsuit.

I also hope this can be resolved without bringing down the hammer on GoodK, Ray A. The thing is, if GoodK doesn't back off, then this board is probably toast.

The problem is that the threat of lawsuit creates a chilling effect on free speech on the board. We've already witnessed this with the departure of DCP.

It's been "toast" ever since it started. The simple fact is that no one person, or people, make this board.

I still think the original version was better, even though I often got my ass kicked. Something was lost. All of this talk of bannings and suspensions reminds too much of MAD. Reminds me too much of little- dictators-in-the-making.

You're going to solve the DCP/GoodK problem by banning Eric? Shutting him up through Admin/moderator fiat?
