First, in a national poll conducted by Washington Post/ABC, for the first time those in favor of allowing gay marriage (49%) are greater than those who do not (46%). To me this is just another sign that civil prohibitions against gay marriage are going the way of prohibitions against interracial marriage. See link below for full article:

I with Nate Silver on this one -- I suspect that gay marriage hasn't quite reached plurality acceptance yet, but I think it's very close, and the wind is at our back.

Maybe we can even get to the point where we force all children to try it both ways before they are allowed to declare they are gay or straight. I mean, how do you really know if you haven't tried it? If you really don't want to be gay, than you have to get some expensive counseling and documentation before you can legally refuse to reject a gay relationship. That's what I think is right, so that's what I'll try to force other people to do! Get enough people doing that, and BAM, you've got "public policy," the foundation of modern law!
