The problem with Mentally ill posters

Lets be frank folks. Whats the best way to make sure these individuals who are trapped in their heads get help? I deeply wish there was something I could do for those who believe themselves to be at the center of Gods purpose on earth. These people need psychiatric care and in the case of a recent poster visiting here it is very evident they have issues.

It seems we are powerless unless they present a threat to us. I wish it was easier to point the men in the white coats at these guys so as to talk them down from the delusions they use to prop up their Ego and supress the feelings of worthlessness they carry with them.

Suggestions? Has anyone ever been succesful at talking one of these individuals into therapy?

Well of course Jersey, self fulfilling prophecies and ignoring information that does not confirm their delusions go hand in hand. In essence, they believe they are always right even when they are wrong. This goes without saying.

But what, if anything can be done?

Its not one specific individual if that is what you mean but more a collection of posters here and elsewhere that exhibit characteristics highly indicative of a break from sanity.
