Anyone With Access To The Latest CHI

I have a copy of the 1999 CHI, but not the most recent one. I'm wondering if this policy has changed:

Surgical Sterilization (Including Vasectomy)
The Church strongly discourages surgical sterilization as an elective form of birth control. It should be considered only if (1) medical conditions seriously jeopardize life or health or (2) birth defects or serious trauma have rendered a person mentally incompetent and not responsible for his or her actions. Such conditions must be determined by competent medical judgment and in accordance with law. Even then, the persons responsible for this decision should consult with each other and with their bishop and should receive divine confirmation of their decision through prayer.

Also, is there any mention of cosmetic surgery (i.e. boob jobs, tummy tucks, etc.) in the new CHI?

Thanks in advance for any information.

I have a copy of the 2006 CHI if you want one. I can PM or email it (don't think you can PM attachments, though).

The statement in the 2006 CHI is identical.

There is nothing at all about this in the 2006 CHI.

I do. This CHI:

Anyone can have one for $110.00 plus shipping and handling.

Unlike the church's CHI, it does a great job of straightening things out.

Also, it has nothing to say about vasectomies, but it probably gets hot enough to perform one. The only other thing one would need is a set of fingernail clippers.

(How nice it is to be out of the church long enough that "CHI" is a flat iron and not the Church Handbook of Instructions!)
