Doesn't doctrine for every religion change over time? Change after all seems inevitable with all things. On top of that, the LDS Church has designed in fluidity from new insights, exigencies and revelations.
Why should we need to always repeat past mistakes?

Sure, all fine and good. But what the change comes down to is that they do not recognize that things have changed but instead shove the regrettable doctrine into the closet and deny it ever was doctrine. That is the problem, and a big one.

Mok, let me know when the First Presidency gets your message.

Doctrinal shifts are well documented over centuries in religion.

Are you trying to correct something I said or just state something? I'm confused by your reply.
Just wondering, as I was speaking of Mormonism, not all religion.

No intent to correct. It was an agreement. Mormonism is included in
religion.

With all due respect, that sounds like a cop-out.
You'd think that an omnipotent God could get it right the first time.

Wouldn't that be a hoot if they read this forum. Do you think they would dispute my defense for doctrines changing over time?
Ray, is winter there yet? I bet those cabs can be nice and toasty.

With the history of the Universe representing one of change, I would think He designed this feature.

Mok, just present yourself as the "one mighty and strong". In a William Shatner voice....

We are coming into "winter", a snowless winter, of course. What we call "winter" you'd probably call Spring. Life here is always fantastic. I'm near the beaches, the shopping, the entertainment, everything. I could not ask for a better place on earth to live. Not in my wildest imagination.
