We have assembled a group of panelists from coast to coast, covering every time zone. We really would like to hear your feedback. Please let me know by leaving a comment on the Mormon Expression blog or by emailing mail@mormonexpression.com.
Here is the description:
In this episode, the panelists discuss the issue of “leaving the Church but not leaving it alone. Panelists include George, Jim, John, Nyal and Tom. Topics addressed include: dealing with the loss of faith and what to do next, the role of the online community, researching the Church, family relationships, ongoing connection to the Mormon community and the psychology of those who stay and those who leave.
Whatever appears to be against the Book of Mormon is going to be overturned at some time in the future. So we can be pretty open minded.-charity 3/7/07
MASH quotes I peeked in the back [of the Bible] Frank, the Devil did it. I avoid church religiously. This isn't one of my sermons, I expect you to listen.
What are your future topics in upcoming episodes, and do you take callers?
You can call and leave a message at 801-906-6722 or email us the audio at mail@mormonexpression.com. If you leave a call back number, we can give you a call. Of course, we would never release the phone number on the recording.
I subscribed when you first announced this recently, and downloaded and listened to the first episode today. Well done!
If I had any constructive criticism, it might be that perhaps you could have had your guests introduce themselves a little more so it would be clearer where they stood, so we have more context in which to understand what they said.
Don't take this as a strong criticism - I did like the episode - I just put this out there in case you're interested in hearing it.
Mormonism ceased being a compelling topic for me when I finally came to terms with its transformation from a personality cult into a combination of a real estate company, a SuperPac, and Westboro Baptist Church. - Kishkumen

No, that's fine. I welcome the criticism. I didn't go there for two reasons, I am not sure how much of themselves some of the panelists want to put out there. They will probably become more comfortable with that in time. Secondly, I wanted to try to avoid too much navel gazing. But you are right, we still should have spent a couple of minutes on it. You can actually read about the panelists here.
I am recruiting for some future podcasts with some guest panelists. If you fall into any of these categories, and are willing to be recorded, please let me know.
• I am looking for a lesbian, who was raised in the Church. It doesn’t matter what your current membership status is. This is for a show on homosexuality and the Church, particularly the coming out process. • I am looking for a couple who was married in the temple after knowing each other for less than a year or so. I don’t care if you are still married, but I would like a couple. This is for a discussion on issues surrounding these sorts of marriages. • I am looking for non-Members, who have spent several years participating online on Mormon sites for a show on observations of Mormonism from the outside. In reality, it doesn’t matter if you participate online or not, but you need to have been observing Mormons for a while.
