Old bishops don't die, they just.....
After a bishops bishophood is up, do they take a break or get another calling? Is there any particular calling a former bishop my get?

Sometimes they get a Stake calling, or maybe a calling to work at the Temple.

Being a Bishop is an office in the priesthood. So once a bishop is released, they never give up their bishophood. However, they can act in any calling after that.
