@eterson "TEMPLE" Fireside
Hey I see where Peterson is doing a fireside on the west side of SLC next week. It appears to be on something to do with the temple as a significance to a christian platform (forgive me if I don't have it acurate and I stand subject to correction).
Well can our favorite Provo Pundit let us know if his fireside will address "where" christianity teaches the need of temple requirements and/or the requirements of temple marriages/sealings or proxy baptisms.
I trust it will have all the prerequisite LDS church sponsored, Ensigned taught, emotions of temple importance.
But will it have any actual facts or theological-scriptural links to such needs?? Just tryin to see if this is one of those events that are "Provo Only" or if they could actually draw an audience outside of Utah!
Danny? Just wondering!

Do you really want an answer? Or would you prefer to call me "Danny" and behave like a jerk?
Choose.

I don't see how you can discuss the Mormon temple and post Nicene creed Christianity given the thoughts conveyed in the temple about Christianity.

Danny is insulting?
I thought Denial was better anyway.

Dr. Peterson:
If it's not a closed sort of gathering, would you mind PMing me the details of this fireside--date, time, address, etc.?

It's entirely public, and not at all secret. Here's the note that I posted on the board formerly known as FAIR:
As part of my never ending quest to call attention to and glorify myself -- I want to spare some of my commentators the need of pointing that out -- I thought some might possibly find this interesting:
In connection with the Oquirrh Mountain Temple open house, I'll be giving a fireside on Sunday, 12 July, on the topic of "The Temple as a Place of Ascent to God."
It begins at 7:00 PM and will be located at the Daybreak Stake Center. The address for this building is 4517 W. Mille Lacs Drive. On the off chance that somebody might be in the neighborhood and have nothing better to do, here are some basic instructions that the coordinator of the fireside gave to me:
From Bangerter Highway, take the exit at 11400 South. Drive west on Daybreak View Parkway. You will come to a round-about and will take the first right. Now you are on Oquirrh Lake Road. Turn right on Mille Lacs Drive, and you will find the stake center.
To repeat, here is the official address:
Daybreak Stake Center
4517 W. Mille Lacs Drive
South Jordan, UT 84095)
I have to be very careful here. If I'm not, Some Schmo will stumble across this thread and accuse me of hijacking it and trying to make it about me.

How does one pronounce "Oquirrh"?
(Nevo, Jan 23) And the Melchizedek Priesthood may not have been restored until the summer of 1830, several months after the organization of the Church.

Temples ceased being relevant to Christianity after the passing of Christ's generation. Moreover, the purloined, occult nonsense that occurs within LDS temples bears little to no resemblance to religious rites that occurred in the Jerusalem temple.

What are the differences?
