I want to take a moment to indulge in a little bit of unhealthy gossip. The other day I was commenting over at Planet MAD on a thread. I challenged Danny Blob about the internet/chapel Mormon debate, asking him if he had bothered to listen to the interview. He seemed to think he was quite the expert in the subject. I called him Danny.

Yes. I called him Danny. Danny takes a moment to order his little lap dog to attack. Within minutes of the post Nemesis warns me:

Do this again on our board and I'll get rid of the lot of you without even blinking

I replied:

Is Danny bad for some reason? If so, I will stop calling him by his name.

Nemesis:

It is not his name and you know exactly what you are doing. Playing dumb about it doesn't help your situation here.

I replied:

It was an honest question. Consider me corrected.

Note here that I did not call him "Danny" on that board again. Not once. I did however vent some bile on this board. Immediately following the last warning I posted the following:

Whatever you do, DO NOT call the Blubbery Bishop, "Danny." Apparently slightly teasing Elder Donut is far, far, far worse than Pahoran's altering of people's names.

Cruel? Yes. Immature? Certainly. On the MAD board? Not at all. I called out Danny Blob on THIS board. I was respecting the other one. Within moments of posting this, I am PERMANENTLY BANNED from MAD. Why? Danny ordered his fanny bandit to jump and he jumped. What's the matter "Good Bishop?" can't you take a little Pahoran-esque polemics on a different board? Is it not enough you have the safe zone over there in your MAD little world? That you are a bishop is shameful. Eric is right about you, and I look forward to you eventual intellectual demise. I hope you continue this behavior and drive members from the church. I think I shall oppose you everywhere I find you.

MAD moderators watch other boards as well as their own, and will ban posters for comments on other boards as well as their own.

I don't doubt this. The timing seemed interesting. Plus, Danny stayed away from here for a while. I am convinced he had a sticky and chubby hand in this.

That is unnecessary and rather cruel name calling. Surprises me that you had not previously heard about MAD's editorial policy from the many discussions on this board. Dr. Peterson is an icon at MAD and as a fellow human being is worthy of respect, whether you disagree with him or not.

For what it is worth, you can call him Danny on this forum.

I am venting here. I really liked to post over there. I probably will regret saying those things when I have calmed down. But right now I don't feel like he is worthy of any respect. I tried twice to apologize for bugging him, he slapped me down. I chose to keep poking his large self, I am not surprised he reacted.

He will always be Danny.

That's excellent news. I don't always agree with the moderating calls at MAD but they got it right this time. Good riddance.

From what I know of Dr Peterson, I can't imagine that he cried to the mods over being called "Danny". I also don't believe that he cried to the mods about your rant here and got you banned. He can fight his own battles.

I think they did it all on their own.

So perhaps you could quit railroading DCP for crimes he didn't commit?

I think...you are probably right. I have no evidence that Danny did this. :(

Daniel, did you do this? Have I just gone off the deep end of paranoia?

I would much prefer Joe, J, Joseph, Josie, Jo, JJ, JerseyJoe, JumpinJoe, Joe-Joe, Josephine, and maybe even Wojo as a derivative of Joey -- as opposed to" Bufoon" as Mr. Peterson always calls me now. And I suppose he calling me Bufoon is on the same plane as those referring to him as Danny, on any board. I just wouldn't want to see his life destroyed by being banned for calling me "Bufoon". But who, with half a life outside of message boards, really cares at the end of the day.

I called him a idiot and a skunk on this board. I have no respect for that man. I've seen how he acts. He has convinced me that he isn't a Christian. But he could be be converted just like anyone can. You never know what will happen. I've not seen anything out of his mouth that would convince me he is a Christian.

He would probably say the same of me. But I don't care what he thinks. He is just a school teacher that likes to hang out with his buddies.
