'de-baptism' to renounce childhood faith

Well, while I thought the peanut butter on the crackers was kind of amusing, I have mixed feelings about the idea. I mean, criticizing a ritual with another ritual?
I don't know... When I left the church, I just left. I didn't care what they thought, didn't even think to have my name removed from their records, and just stopped calling myself a Mormon. I only later resigned to save my family the hassle of the uninvited missionary drop-bys (they were pissing off my nevermo wife).
But I can see how some might consider it cathartic, especially if they are just leaving their church, so...
I guess I'm pretty ambivalent about the whole thing.
