Not sure if this has been mentioned before, but it appears a certain distinguished contributor to MD has been released from his calling as Bishop.
I understand he was a beloved Bishop, and meticulous in planning, having planned out meetings and speakers months in advance, with the schedule abruptly stopping months ago (at the date of the expected release). A huge difference from my ward's "email on Thursday afternoon to speak on Sunday" way of doing things
I'm sure we all join in hoping this increase in free time results in a correlating increase in post count here at MD. Of course, our stake is looking for a new SP soon... ;)

If DCP was released....yes, I would enjoy seeing more of his comments here.
My money is on DCP. He was a bishop of a student ward at UVU, and such bishops tend to be released on a strict schedule (for example, BYU bishops do a 3-year stint and are generally released right at the 3-year mark).

If his release was knowledge he gained while attending the temple, I doubt he would want to discuss it here amongst the simpletons.

I'm still serving, although last night's counseling only lasted for four hours, instead of the usual six (possibly because, contrary to my usual practice, I did 3.5 hours of counseling on the previous night, as well).
