Some "professions" tend to attract narcissists more than others. Academia tends to attract them, I think (I consider myself somewhat narcissistic.) If Mormon apologists tend to be narcissistic, it might me a reflection of that. (By the way, I certainly don't dispute that there are narcissists among Mormon apologists, but I'm not sure Mormon apologists are more narcissistic on the whole--perhaps, perhaps not.)

I'm only really familiar with the nature of Kerry Shirts who is categorized as a "hobbyist" apologist. None of the above characteristics apply to him.

To the extent that I'm familiar with Daniel Peterson (presumably that's what you were shooting for) on this board, none of the above characteristics apply to him either.
