Church Members Played Key Roles in Watergate Investigation
Jamie Lawson - LDS Living Back to Headlines
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thirty-five years ago this Sunday, U.S. President Richard Nixon resigned the presidency following the infamous Watergate scandal. Interestingly, two Church members played key roles in the landmark investigation—Elder D. Todd Christofferson and Dr. Thomas G. Stockham Jr
.

Timely article, but it fails to give credit to the Mormon BYU political science student whose summer BYU internship was to act as a mole inside the DNC, and to tape the doors open to allow for the 'former' CIA Nixon burglars to access the DNC headquarters. It also fails to mention the role played by member Senator. Robert Bennett, who in the capacity of Howard Hughes assistant, interfaced with the CIA, the Mullen Company, the White House and finally, Woodward & Bernstein. (No, he was not Deep Throat - that was not allowed by the church back in 1972).
