So why aren't the women
questioned by the Bishop and others about time spent on 'the little playground' as the boys are working 'the little factory'?
Is this activity only of concern when boys are taking time to do it? Is it only worthwhile questioning when done by males?
Some African (possibly others) tribes perform clitorectomies (sp?) on the girls. They don't cut the boys pleasure centers out. What is the reason for this? Will LDS, Inc ever go that far or just keep ignoring the women of the wardhouses?
I think the difference lies in the embarassment of Bishops in questioning girls about their self pleasuring habits. Or, just maybe the real reason is the belief of 'if it don't squirt, it don't matter'?

Before you criticize someone, walk a mile in their shoes. That way when you do criticize them you'll be a mile away and you'll have their shoes.

Let me tell you a short story about this subject:
My oldest daughter was 17 when she finally figured out what masturbation was. She was in my office on the day my staff partner and I were talking about testicular cancer. My staff partner, being the hilarious person she was, took "self testicular cancer exam" to an entirely new level, and we were rolling on the floor laughing. My daughter didn't get it. So I explained it to her. She didn't believe me. The next day, I went out to a business breakfast with a volunteer friend of mine, and my daughter informed me that she was going to drive over to her boyfriend's house and get the straight answer from him, because obviously I wasn't giving it to her straight. I looked at my friend, and my friend looked at me, and we burst out laughing.
So... my daughter finds her 18 year old boyfriend in the kitchen, dishing up a bowl of wheaties, and tells him she has a question and she knows he'll give her a straight answer. So the boyfriend takes her to the living room (which is carpeted in white plush carpet) and she sits on the carpet in front of him, and asks him what masturbation is. Instantly Wheaties flew all over white plush carpet! He gulped; he hemmed and hawed. He tried several euphemisms. He finally got her to understand what it was, and she levitated off the floor. Literally.
So she comes back to the restaurant and tells us this tale. We fall on the floor, laughing our guts out. It still makes me grin whenever I remember that day.
The subject was never discussed again.
Personally, I think the Brethren do not address masturbation in girls or women because they have a distorted idea of female sexuality. Women are not supposed to enjoy sex, and therefore they don't, until they're married, and then they're supposed spread their legs at their husband's every whim. It's all part of the Madonna/Whore complex that our leaders suffer from. The POTF is just the latest manifestation of this unhealthy attitude. And it's pathetic. And definitely not from God.
(Nevo, Jan 23) And the Melchizedek Priesthood may not have been restored until the summer of 1830, several months after the organization of the Church.

I raised two daughters. Had I learned about a bishop questioning them about masturbation I would have been in his office - in his face - telling him he better never do that again or face the wrath of a father.
Note--The African castration of women is an abomination. Those who promote that are scum.

I agree.
Thankfully, my xwife set me straight and told me everything her girl friends ever told her. I got educated and learned stuff a lot of men don't know. Many men are ignorant and have distorted views of female sexuality. Interestingly, the reverse is also true. There is one thing men like the most -- and it will always be that way. Church leaders disaprove, only because they don't get it. But it's every man's greatest pleasure, period.

They are somewhat. I Think before it was because bishops did not think girls did such things. At least not like those pervert boys do!

What, nipple twistling?
God belief is for people who don't want to live life on the universe's terms.

I believe he's referring to oral sex, Schmo. Perhaps he doesn't give enough of a caveat in his statement.

Ouch, no, silly. Get your hand of my nipple! That hurts.
It's two words. Starts with a B and ends with a B.

BINGO! Therein lies your greatest power, Harmony. You can get anything you want for that favor. I trust you already know that. It's the ace in the hole. Have a great night, Harmony!
