Even DCP has had his fair share of staunch defenders here, even at times from critics who disagreed with him, when they felt he was being unfairly attacked. He seems to have conveniently forgotten all those times.

I have to say that I found Daniel's knee-jerk dismissiveness of this board a little disappointing. We have had some fun times here. They may not have been the rarefied academic type, but, truth be told, much of what often separates the two boards is not the quality, but the overwhelming faith-orientation of the content. If I had a nickel for every ignorant, empty-headed contribution by an amateur apologist from MAD, I could quit my job.

Oh, but this is the Polygamy Porter board. Now there's a clever quip.

He apparently only chooses to remember the bad, and after over 5,000 posts here he now talks like it was never worthy of his time. The insults haven't stopped. Though I could be wrong, I've never seen him defend a critic on MAD, even if he may have felt the critic was getting unjust treatment. Or maybe he genuinely feels critics are never unjustly treated on MAD.

Perhaps we should call MAD the Dr. Peterson Board, and allow everything that goes on there, no matter how vapid or saccharine, to be associated with his name? I suppose not.

Generally speaking, I don't rush to anyone's aid over a mod call given the fruitlessness of such an exercise.

I don't consider it entirely fruitless. I have seen cases where mods have altered decisions, though rare. Perhaps my problem is that I don't hold back when I feel passionate about something, even if it will get me into big trouble. I was also banned from ZLMB for life. However, when I went back on MAD I wrote a private apology to Cal for some of the things I did there. I'm not claiming to be above the fray, nor that I'm not sometimes, maybe often, hypocritical, but that won't stop me having a say.
