He reiterated that the very elect will be deceived.

With that, since LDS is the only true gospel of god on earth, and we were part of that, and we have left being identified as deceived, he was declaring that we exmos ARE the very elect!

Sweet Jesus and mother of Joseph Smith!

We are better than even the apostles!

We are the very elect and the rest of the members who remain, are less elect than we are!

Mods and Doc Shades, I want to change my avatar status to "the very elect"!

According to the dictionary, "the elect" is defined as:
noun (the elect)
Christian Theology -- chosen by God for salvation.
the chosen, the elite, the favored; the crème de la crème.

We exmos must have been kick ass and bitchin in the pre-existence! I bet even Joseph Smith was jealous of our gallantry.

If it weren't for me telling God that I rather be born in the "last days" and thereby passing up on being the philandering purveyor of polygamous restoration, old Joe would have just a nobody to the Mormons!

Pats on the back for all my fellow elect exmormons!

True, even the very elect can be deceived. However, that is not exclusive. Inveterate morons can be deceived too, as evidenced by some on this very board.

Yesterday in Elder's Quorum, the teacher actually chose Elder Holland's talk as the subject of the lesson. But I was amazed when he started off by asking "How many of us remembered Elder Holland's talk from conference?"

Including me, there were 4 hands raised (out of 25 people). There truly is a divide between the internet and the chapel.
