I think the church can end all the confusion and debate concerning DNA and lamanites. But that would be too easy, and precious faith would be damaged. Besides, how do we know that translated beings can even slough off old skin cells? Maybe their skin cells are translated "in the twinkling of an eye" when they die and are restored right back instantly?

I wouldn't be surprised to find out that 3 Nephite skin mites are also translated and cannot die. Since they cannot die, food would not be necessary so we cannot extract urine or feces for sampling. Scientists could probe all they want, but they wouldn't be able to extract any tissue, living or dead from such translated beings. That is the way God rolls.

I wonder who would win in a credibility contest; the Loch ness monster, Big foot, alien abductors or the three Nephites? It would be a cool contest nonetheless. I would probably root for the Loch ness monster first and the 3 nephites as runners up.

For me, alien abductors, followed by Nessie, then Bigfoot, then a three-way tie between the 3 Nephites, Atlanteans, and an IHOP with good service.

In a recent discussion with my TBM mum concerning the behind the scenes activity required for the 2 Cumorahs, the 2 Urim & Thummims, the two Jaredite plates and so on - she invoked the 3 Nephites. They have spent the last millennium & a half moving plates and concealing evidence & generally obfuscating any evidence relating to Book of Mormon people, geography, and material evidence.

You take too much for granted. President Thomas S. Monson and his entire cadre of sycophants, could not get God to so much as answer the phone. Monson is not born of God. That means he has never believed in Jesus Christ and come unto him and made an acceptable sacrifice and been visited of God and wrought upon and cleansed by the baptism of fire and of the Holy Ghost. Failing to qualify at the first works make it impossible for him to accomplish true apostleship or be a prophet. (The way I know this with certainty is the fact that in his entire career as a GA he has never taught it correctly or competently like he knew anything about it and how important and singularly so this event needs to be.)

But then, if he had, you would not be crying for these dumb things. The Great Things true apostles would be accomplishing would astound the world continually and the world would be constrained to say; God is with them.

You mean just like the ‘world’ did with Jesus and his apostles?

I remember reading about how excited the ‘world’ was when Jesus healed that man on the Sabbath, or when he restored the sight of the man blind from birth. Or when Peter and John healed the man outside the tempel. I remember how ‘constrained’ the world was to acknowlege God was with them.

Considering the various definitions of "principal" as in "principal ancestors", such as "most important", I'd say all the confusion and debate has been over for quite some time.
