I just now tumbled to this thread. Thanks for starting it up over here. When relating this experience, which I seldom do, I try to winnow it down to just the facts, including all the parts that could make it seem like a figment of my imagination (such as the lying in bed part when it started, which could equate with a dream/trance state; and the fact that the date scrawled in a child's hand, revealed in the beam of a slightly shaking flashlight on the piece of wood nailed low on the pine tree over the interred and decaying body of a treasured family pet, was not precisely the number of years ago as stated by my dark visitor).
But it was only too real to me.
Anyway, sometimes it is helpful to me when I get too caught up in the pedestrian world to sit back and reflect that there are more realities than those I know.
