I've never had any interaction with ttribe, but, from what I've read, he doesn't strike me as particularly combative or overly involved in "drama." He's opinionated, sure, but who here isn't?

For me, I see no shame in it and have no compunction. You believe fervently in your positions, as do I in mine. On guard, sir, I say, pick up your sword and defend yourself!

I'll ask others to chime in - is this true?

I don't see you involved in every conflict, just the meatier ones. But, isn't the point of message boards to throw oneself into the brouhaha? You might as well go do needlepoint if you don't want to engage in heated topics...and who wants to do needlepoint?

My only complaint is that you rarely offer more than a one liner for a response or rebuttal, and how can a critic tear asunder your argument(s) if you don't offer one? -wink- (typed in because there are no cute emoticons).

ttribe,

do you ever feel personally attacked over here?

Do you feel that you have ever personally attacked anyone over here? If so, only in response to attacks on yourself? or having ever taken the initiative when you did not like the substance or tone of a post that was not directed at you personally?

'Never ever'? Sounds like an absolute generalization.

Yes, that was the point.

In English, we call this a "joke".

Hmmm...I guess this will start to come down to questions of what does "personally" mean. I really do try to focus on the actions and words that are posted, rather than truly personal jabs.

do you feel like personal attacks are more prevalent at MA&D or about the same here and there?

Couldn't even venture a guess. It can get nasty in both places.
