Ummm.. FAIR is the church in a way. The leaders won't clear up difficult issues because they don't want to be proved wrong one day. The leaders know about FAIR and love that they do their dirty work. FAIR is silently sponsored by the church. I guess your definition of fair is different than mine. If the leaders were inspired like they claim they are, FAIR wouldn't be necessary. Church and conference today are nothing more than platitudes and generalities. People struggle with the Book of Abraham issue and the leaders are silent. They tell you to read Dr. John Gee's book.

Back in the day the leaders would spew all sorts of "revelations" and wacky ideas. Men lived on the moon. Well men don't live on the moon Brigham. FAIR, "Well, Brigham was acting as a man at the time he said that." Why do you think the church changed principle to among the ancestors? They are slowly mainstreaming to keep up with science.

Certainly, I found it odd to see this coming from someone who has devoted a substantial portion of his adult life to smearing people, blackening innocent scholars' reputations, and generally trying to stomp critics into oblivion---scruples be damned.

Hmmm. That doesn't sound at all like Daniel C. Peterson to me. It does sound very much like, oh, Mr. Scratch, Kevin Graham, Harmony, and probably a clear majority of the folks who post here on regular basis.

If fact, as Scartch's claim her is ether clearly a knowing, naked slander in and of itself, its an astonishing thing to see the irony distill upon our heads like the dews of Heaven.
