Thought I meant Joseph Smith Jr. right? Nope he says Jesus Smith.

Wow, are you serious? You are, in your vile hatred of the LDS Faith, going to point out an elderly person's minor slip up? Do you consider yourself as having any virtue whatsoever?

Need we remind you that, without that which you hate so virulently, you would at this moment likely be unemployed.

He's completely correct - the Book of Mormon testifies of both.

Good point. Imagine trying to denigrate the Freudian when there are so many tunnels yet to be entered.

Don't make fun of GordieB for a slip of the tongue. Make fun of him for stating polygamy is not doctrinal and denying the idea of eternal progression in LDSinc belief.

Why? Polygamy is not doctrinal.

Umm... I'm confused. Isn't it in the Doctrine and Covenants?

Perhaps our friend Simon meant that polygamy is not currently doctrine?

I told'ya time and time again, there is no such thing as Mormon doctrine. There are books entitled so, but they are not doctrine.

There is no such thing as Mormon doctrine. There are only Mormon teachings. And they can be denied at any time, by anyone. Image

I am an authority, well on my way to god-hood.

Hi Simon,

Why? Polygamy is not doctrinal.

How many wives will Dallin Oaks have in the next life? How many wives are currently sealed to him?

Can LDS men, (who are living) be eternally sealed to more than one woman at a time? Is this standard practice?

Is Joseph Smith sealed to his numerous wives for eternity?

And, of course we know there are numerous LDS men who are sealed to more than one living woman, even if they may be civilly married to only one. (Just ask the divorced women who want a temple divorce but are repeatedly denied).

To assert polygamy is not doctrine in the LDS church is dishonest and deceptive.
