Who is after T. Monson

Post by _zeezrom »

I should know this but I don't. Who will the next prophet after TSM be?
Oh for shame, how the mortals put the blame on us gods, for they say evils come from us, but it is they, rather, who by their own recklessness win sorrow beyond what is given... Zeus (1178 BC)

It is my province to teach to the Church what the doctrine is. It is your province to echo what I say or to remain silent.

Isn't is packer? It's the most senior of the quorum, right?

Packer's first in line. It's a race to see who dies first.
(Nevo, Jan 23) And the Melchizedek Priesthood may not have been restored until the summer of 1830, several months after the organization of the Church.

Considering that Packer was in a chair, barely breathing except to fume hatred towards intellectuals, feminists and homosexuals... Well, he is next.

Yes, Packer is next. But he hasn't got nummy widows to keep him spunky.

My intuition tells me that Nazi-Boyd Packer is not on the good side of Tommy-boy Monson. I think they disagree and probably have ire one towards another. How do I know this? I don't, but I sense it. Satan tells me secrets.

Packer is going to do what he wants and Tommy can't stop him. Packer understands the power structure and he leads the 12 which has just as much power as the First Presidency. Infact, the 12 could remove the First Presidency in a catastrophic power struggle if push came to shove. But I digress . . . . Packer will say and do what he wants and Tommy can't do a damn thing except fume about it behind the scenes.

If I recall correctly, TSM had some tough things to say about gay groups and apostates when he first become president. I remember being impressed and pleased. Therefore, I'd say your implications that there is a rift between them is just blowing smoke.

Packer is technically next in line. But he's also three years older than Monson and not looking good.

Smart money says the next prophet will be Oaks.

So, you're saying that Satan doesn't know what he is talking about and is unable to inform me of happenings according to his pleasure? Aren't I an apostate? Is not my heart heardened by Satan? The spirit of the devil has taken hold of my house and has filled me with his knowledge. Satan and his spirits see everything that is happening in the world and it's easy to tell me about it. Right?

I'm a soldier of the devil. Tell me more secrets, Satan.

I suspect that President Packer had been cautioned about this not being the right time to reiterate these sentiments. Do you think he just blew such counsel off and did what he pleased? If so, this would have to strain relations a bit.
