Since I mentioned IT in my post, it is perfectly logical that Simon would refer to his Director position in that manner.

Well, hoping to give Simon the benefit of the doubt, maybe there is more than one director. In the college I work for, there are many different inter-department directors who mat, or may not be listed in an employment directory. Also, if Simon is an interim director, his name may not necessarily be listed.

Since we do honor anonymity here, I don't think it is right to dig too far into speculation.

I am curious, though, where you found the employment directory on that site, because I couldn't find it. I knew there was an IS dept. because I looked up a Job Search listing.

Good points, Liz, but Simon said earlier that he was the *Director* of the Department, which sort of leads one to assume certain things. As far as I can tell, there is only one "Director." There is a CIO/Vice President, though. Maybe that's what he meant? Regardless, we should probably give Mr. Belmont a chance to clarify.

What I said was true, but I manage a group of people who all work "behind the scenes" in our data-center (liz, feel free to help me out with the explanations here), and we don't list those on the website.

Oh, I'm not bluffing, Mr. Belmont. I really do have a list of 23 names. Whether or not this corresponds to your claims is another matter. For starters, the person listed as "Department Director" (and per this list, that is the actual title) is a woman. Can you name her? How about the Security Administrator? (Or is that you?) What about the Database Administrator? What's her name, Simon?

Unless you're a bald-faced liar, you should be able to name at least one of these people. Let the dodges and the excuses commence!
