My Turn on Earth: sacrilege!
Note: For those who don't know what I'm talking about, My Turn on Earth is a play by Lex de Azevedo (the Saturday's Warrior guy) in which, among other things, Lucifer and the pre-mortal Jesus have a musical number were they both sing to the pre-mortal spirits in heaven and try to convince everyone to follow their respective plans.
When I was at BYU, I was the Assistant Director and Vocal Coach for the Salt Lake tour of "My Turn on Earth".
You failed to mention that Carol Lynn Pearson was the lyricist and wrote the script.
That which was in good repute at one time, will be condemned at another. Such is the nature of Mormonism.
Mormon apologists claim that a Norse interpretation of the events in the Book of Mormon is bizarre, and fits no known previous interpretation. However, Arnold Friberg, Scandinavian artist for the recent editions of the Book of Mormon clearly saw this. Note Moroni's horned helmet as he holds his dying father, Mormon, after the tragic battle at Cumorah. Such horns were commonly presented as Viking headgear in recent art, although they are a fiction. Additionally, his artwork presents people as being consistently of Scandinavian coloring.
Good thing Arnold F. died recently. He would grieve at Mormon rejection of his art.
Huckelberry said: I see the order and harmony to be the very image of God which smiles upon us each morning as we awake.
- Whenever a poet or preacher, chief or wizard spouts gibberish, the human race spends centuries deciphering the message. - Umberto Eco - To assert that the earth revolves around the sun is as erroneous as to claim that Jesus was not born of a virgin. - Cardinal Bellarmine at the trial of Galilei
"Good thing Arnold F. died recently. He would grieve at Mormon rejection of his art."
He would be embarassed as he realized none of his great Book of Mormon paintings have any of the leaders wearing garments. Shameful they would discard the cloak against harm for the sake of a painting.
"This is how INGORNAT these fools are!" - darricktevenson
Bow your head and mutter, what in hell am I doing here?

Just talked to my son in Alabama. His Bishop read a bit from the new handbook, apparently it's out and in the hands of at least some Bishops (he said the book was red).
Anyway, big news:
A temple recommend is now required to perform any ordinance in the church except for the blessing of a baby. This is a very surprising decision to me. Seems William S will be thrilled, this should thin out some of the fifth columnist. Just the opposite of where/what I thought they would be starting to lean.
