You recall incorrectly. At least, when I was a member (c. 2003-2004), I specifically asked CleanFlix about doing a custom edit of a DVD that I owned and they said they don't do them. They had a list of movies that they had decided the edits for and if your movie wasn't on their list, they wouldn't touch it (the movie I requested wasn't on the list). Otherwise the edits were standardized.
So if you wanted
Terminator 3 edited, you were getting it with their stupid edits or you weren't getting it at all. This is generally my problem with saying "I refuse to watch rated R movies" or "I only watch CleanFlix films." I'm not going to let the MPAA or CleanFlix do my thinking for me.
I don't believe the DVD editing machine was around when I was a member, and I've long lost interest in taking my movies edited.

Or one can just grow up and watch these films as the filmmakers intended them or say "no" to them altogether. Which is what I did.

And here I thought having premarital sex then lying about it at your ecclesiastical endorsement was the way it was done. Silly me.
cinepro ~ Thanks for the recommend on the ClearPlayer DVD. My daughter is only 4 and not interested in violent movies yet, but I'll keep it in mind for when she gets older and starts begging to delve into Mommy's horror collection.
