There is a big difference between:

"The Pope has done something I disagree with".

vs.

"The Pope is a fraudulant [Telestial-caliber comment deleted] who likes to [Telestial-caliber comment deleted] in the vatican".

Which do we see here most often?

For the sake of discussion let's assume that the tone of discourse here about the church and its members is similar to the latter example you gave. My question remains the same. Do you think that people who hold such opinions should not have a forum where they can share such opinions with each other?

Yes, it is called a mental institution.

Of course there should be such forums -- and not just to examine
and discuss Mormonism, but also its parent religions of Christianity
and Judaism as well. And, if enough people were inclined to join in,
the very issue of theism itself might productively be attacked and
defended.

Any true Mormon should welcome the "persecution," for it fulfills
their scriptures regarding the "chosen people" and the need for
opposition in all things.

Mormons should applaud and foster such hostile forums. For, just
as it was back in Parley P. Pratt's day, some curious onlooker is
sure to become entranced with Mormonism and request baptism,
after having witnessed a little of this "sound and fury..."

Since I am not against (anti) any of these groups, then no.

Are the majority of posters here for (pro) Mormonism, or against (anti) Mormonism?

I'm not anti-Mormon. I'm anti-religion. :)

If one wants to post faith-promoting Mormon testimonials on this board, s/he is welcome to do so. If one wants to incessantly counter anti-mormon claims on this board, s/he is welcome to do so. Similarly, one is also welcome to post information and views that counter Mormon claims. It is, after all, a Mormon discussions board.

Baker, that is a total load of crap. This place has been controlled by anti-LDS mob rule for some time. You can't walk into a room and speak your mind if all that happens when you do is everyone starts making duck calls as loud as they can so you can't be heard. This is not "Mormon Discussions". This is Anti-Mormon Discussions. If your LDS and provided a testimony, you'd be mocked, insulted, and trashed. If you provide a hateful, anti-Mormon rant, you'd be cheered, congratulated, and followed up with more examples of the same.

Don't pretend this place is what is truly isn't. When the master (Shades) and all his lackys (Liz) are all anti-LDS themselves, that creates a misbalance.

That's a total load of crap. This is Promormon Discussions. If I provide a criticism of the religion, I have to listen to people like you and Simon mocking, insulting and trashing. I'm tired of people like you controlling this board.

So your testimony can't stand up to criticism?
