Welcome back, Dan.

Jim Faulconer on Faith, Philosophy, and Scripture.

But I’m baack. Sort of. It simply seems to me that the ability to announce new publications, symposia, firesides, and that sort of thing on a free public message board is too useful to surrender. Particularly in view of my role as Director of Outreach for the Maxwell Institute. So I’m intending to use this forum occasionally in order to make such announcements. (We'll see whether anybody actually reads this "Pundit" forum.)
(Emphasis added)

We here at Mormon Discussions will pay attention to anything you feel might be neglected at the MAD board.

God speed, my friend (or should that be "erstwhile friend"?)

Read: "I need an outlet to self-promote and brag". The Faulconer announcement is an exception, perhaps, but I predict Peterson's future "announcements" will be 90% about himself and his doings.

I was abducted by lesbian neo-Nazi biker chicks recently landed from the planet Zarkon

I have got to run with this and get it into the hands of the FP. Not only has Dan been associating himself with neo-Nazi bikers, but lesbians no less.

This will destroy his chance at becoming a GA.

Now I just have to go through my notes and find the number to Packer's hot line and get this juicy news into his hands.

He has a chance of becoming a GA? Really?

First, kicking a bunch of low income families out of their homes at Xmas, and now this? Just how low can the church go?

I have to admit....this is pretty funny stuff...

From the MADhouse:

DCP wrote:Yes, I was indeed directed to go silent by the Packer Faction. The orders were transmitted through the new radioisotope-powered XL-480 device implanted at the base of my skull. (Eat your hearts out, fellow special operatives!) Yes, I really engaged in an unethical and probably illegal effort to illicitly undermine the defense in a prominent federal criminal trial. My shameless corruption and depravity are boundless. Yes, thousands upon thousands of my despicable and incriminating posts here were deleted by order of the First Presidency and/or a federal judge and/or my wife and/or Manny, Mo, and Curley Joe. Yes, I’m being silenced by the Brethren because they’re embarrassed at my antics and disapprove of me. Yes, I’m being silenced by the Brethren because they’re about to call me as a General Authority. And, yes, I was abducted by lesbian neo-Nazi biker chicks recently landed from the planet Zarkon.

Probably the same chance that Nibley had of becoming a GA. He'd have to change his Internet ways drastically. But if this did hypothetically happen, I presume that like Spencer W. Kimball, he'd have to go around asking forgiveness of those who may have felt offended. Kimball even apologised to people he felt he hadn't offended. It might actually be a good thing if DCP became a GA. His whole Internet life would flash before him. Sort of like an NDE.

Is this something like Mr. Garrison on South Park pining because his father the pedophile didn't abuse him as a child (therefore, he felt unloved)?

I would love to see Dr. Peterson apologize to people he has not offended with the idea that they might feel left out. "I'm sorry I didn't offend you. It is not that you weren't important enough, or wrong enough, to offend. But there are only so many hours in a day, you know!"

OMG! I didn't realise he was posting in the Celestial Kingdom. LOL. Does anyone remember the story of the camel that snuck its way into the tent, from SWK's Miracle of Forgiveness?

See you here in the Terrestrial soon, Dan.

Cheers,
