Zeezrom comments selected by my curiosity,
" Sure, Mary was a mortal but certainly has some God-like qualities: chosen to be the Mother of Jesus Christ, ...
No, I'm not suggesting that Christians should worship Mary. I'm just curious why people seem to be afraid not to embrace more fully what Mary represents? I mean why not fully embrace the divinity of the female?
3. Recognizing that both the female human form and uniqueness of person is god-like
4. Understanding the divine qualities in motherhood and being comfortable in embracing these within the realm of worship"

Hucks replies or odd wonderings.
Just what is the God likeness the female human form has? I can see that as good, particularly with the good of a persons uniqueness. What is the desired result of mixing those direct earthy goods with the word divine? It sound a bit like trying to gild the lily.
For me your questions Zeezrom underline the question, what do you mean by divine? It might not be something so clear as to be taken for granted.
After all the family Gods lost favor as people asked who has the real authority and where does it come from. Sure all sorts of things share a bit of that authority. A squirrel chatters in a tree announcing its authority in its rhealm. But where is the authority which is the source of life for both men and women? Once people worry about that problem it becomes difficult to place the semi authorities back on thrones.
I think there is an advantage to one God beyond male and female. Such God backs up and is the source of dignity and power for both men and women. The one God creates both sex and childbirth. That God creates family where men and women together can raise children in love. That one God gives to us the dignity and authority to do these and more men and women together.
And for more down to earth images our society has not completely done away with the Greek family Gods completely. For Aphrodite we have Marilyn Monroe and for Athena we have Audrey Hepburn. Or perhaps you may wish to choose other representatives. My selection is not meant to be exclusive.

I saw her in mexico city after a day of walking around the outskirts of the upper-class zone of the city...I saw her. She's about eight feet tall and she has the twin feet of an enormous eagle and both her arms and large serpent's heads with tongues tasting the wind and her head...Around her shoulders she wore a necklace of rope that was strung with human hearts and human hands and they told me she was the goddess of the earth and they told me she was the goddess of life and death and I was amazed at how seductive she was.
David Wojnarowicz, Close to the Knives
I've seen her too.
Blixa, I would like to thank you for sharing this evidence that the Nephites knew about Heavenly Mother.

Mormon men don't share power. Acknowledging HM would require acknowledging women are as important in God's eyes as men are. That's not gonna happen.
(Nevo, Jan 23) And the Melchizedek Priesthood may not have been restored until the summer of 1830, several months after the organization of the Church.

I don't see the problem. Surely learning about Heavenly Father's divine help meet will help you understand why submitting to the will of the superior partner in your marriage in this life will prepare you to wait upon the man-god to whom you are sealed for all eternity.
