But I do love you all tons, even when you misunderstand my points, or misunderstand the quotes you use to batter LDS people/positions. Don't worry about that. That's a constant, baby.

You already admitted to being a troll.

Hey stem,

You are most welcome.

So what do LDS temple wedding destroy?

I am not comfy suggesting they "destroy", but I would suggest that they can/do cause great damage and pain to entire families.

What danger do they hold?

In my opinion, they hold the danger of coming across as highly arrogant, exceedingly divisive, and indeed posses the danger of causing great division and strain between Dads, Moms, Grand Parents, Siblings, etc.

I've been temple weddinged and I didn't see any of it.

With respect offered, I did not expect that you would see any of it.

Many women have fears of being raped...and many will fight back. Not too long ago a woman beat up a man who attempted to rape her. Good show lady. .

What you are effectively saying or advocating by this statement and the others you've made in this thread, to the non-resistant woman that is raped is, "you didn't fight? What's wrong with you, don't you know that virtue is the most important! You whore! You probably enjoyed it, didn't you!"

In the above example you give. What if the man had been too strong for her to even be able to beat up, and she's overpowered and raped anyway? Good show then? What if he had killed her because of her resistence and good show then? The alive victim should be ashamed that she wants to live?

This whole MoF is BS! What he should have been advocating for is for rapists to voluntarily be castrated because of the guilt they should feel for having harmed another person in such a way. Instead SWK goes straight for the victim's jugular. . . no better than the rapist in my opinion. . . he practically encourages it.

This last quote is much closer to support the contention that LDS believe its better than to be dead then have sex before/outside of marriage. But even this is talking more from a parents perspective, which I've already indicated I don't agree with. Thanks for the comment. I hear ya. Some LDS leaders, which are long dead now, have said something akin to that which I felt sounded silly at first, albeit in each case their quotes seem to indicate something different then initially claimed.

David Bednar uses the better dead comments by quoting these long dead leaders in a talk at BYUI just before he was called as an apostle. And so what if the leaders are dead. The book Miracle of Forgiveness is still used widely in the Church. And when will we or the Church or wanna be defenders take some responsibility for things prior leaders did or said. Is the fact that they are dead make it ok?

When I trolled this board, I made sure to point out that I only called out their ignorance because I cared so much about them even though I was intentionally quite hostile. It adds a layer of condescension and hypocrisy that just riles people up. Yee-haw.

by the way, Kimball is saying that it is better to die struggling against a rape than it is to live and not have struggled because the sex is just that bad. He also implies that not struggling if you can is tantamount to the act being voluntary, which is ill-thought out as can be, but then again this is the man who argued that masturbation was a slippery slope to circle jerks and eventually a bad case of the gay. It's the sort of opinions that should be regulated to your crazy uncle whose ignorance simultaneously causes you to be amused and find pity, but it's a more unique circumstance here because his position makes some people think it wise.

Not really. In two instances it does suggest that death is preferrable to parents whose kids are unchaste. I disagree with both of those.

That is ridiculous. I would never say anything of the sort. your attempt to use my words to suggest such a thing is pathetic. When you guys keep mis-characterizing like I might as well expect you'll do anything to complain about me.

In the above example you give. What if the man had been too strong for her to even be able to beat up, and she's overpowered and raped anyway? Good show then? What if he had killed her because of her resistence and good show then? The alive victim should be ashamed that she wants to live?

Rape is perhaps the worst thing imaginable. I don't' know what you're talking about. I was merely repeating a story I had heard. That you take it to some obscene level shows the absurdity here.

This whole MoF is b***s***! What he should have been advocating for is for rapists to voluntarily be castrated because of the guilt they should feel for having harmed another person in such a way. Instead SWK goes straight for the victim's jugular. . . no better than the rapist in my opinion. . . he practically encourages it.

Whatever. This is absurd.

Bring the quote. We can consider it too. But rest assured I do not think that 5 quotes in the past 50 years makes for a whole lot, considering how many times leaders have spoken on the issue of chastity. Even still none of the previous 4 have suggested what was initially claimed they suggest, so I'm suspicious of your's too.
