Warren Jeffs is again president of a Mormon Church

I would like to remind everyone that the FLDS Church is not "the" Mormon Church, but a Mormon Church.
Please do not confuse this sect of Mormonism with other Mormon Churches, including the largest sect of the Mormon movement, which is headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Re: Warren Jeffs is again president of a Mormon Church
Yesterday I was listening to Radio from Hell on my way to work; often they play comedy clips to introduce show segments, but yesterday they played this weird voice talking about purity and Satan and such. The voice sounded sort like a higher-pitched version of Robert Sculler, but slower and with a bit of "conference-speak" mixed in. Seriously skeeved me out.
Turns out it was Warren Jeffs.
Turns out it was Warren Jeffs.

There is no such thing as a Mormon church at all.
There is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
Latter Day Church of Christ
Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints
Community of Christ
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Strangite)
And many more.
None of them are a "Mormon church." They might be Mormon sects, but there is no such thing as a Mormon church.

Which is why the church's website has a link "What to Expect at Mormon Church Services." Apparently, they want you to attend services for a church that doesn't exist. I could do that. :-)

Okay, we can go with that.
"Hello, my name is Elder ________. I am a missionary from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, which some people call 'a Mormon sect.'"

Edited for Simon Belmont:
http://Mormon.org/
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the official name of the religion commonly called "a sect of the overall Mormon movement arising from the schisms after Joseph Smith was murderd." Members of this particular sect of the Mormon movement believe first and foremost that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world and the Son of God.

Re: Warren Jeffs is again president of a Mormon Church
Lesson 42: “This Is My Gospel”," Book of Mormon: Gospel Doctrine Teacher’s Manual, (1999)
Write on the chalkboard Mormon Church. Ask class members to silently consider their feelings about this nickname. Then read the following statement by President Boyd K. Packer:
“Others refer to us as Mormons. I do not mind if they use that title. However, sometimes we are prone ourselves to say ‘Mormon Church.’ I do not think it best for us to do so” (“The Peaceable Followers of Christ,” Ensign, Apr. 1998, 64).
And he was exactly right. With all of the various sects of Mormonism there are, people may not know which specific sect is under discussion.
Why is it best not to refer to ourselves as the “Mormon Church”?
Because the proper terminology is "one of the various sects of Mormonism that happens to have the largest number of names on paper that we claim as members."
The First Presidency stated: “Keep in mind that this is the Church of Jesus Christ; please emphasize that fact in making contacts with others. … We feel that some may be misled by the too frequent use of the term ‘Mormon Church’” (“Policies and Announcements,” Ensign, Mar. 1983, 79).
Naturally they may be misled. We should make sure people understand which of the sects of Mormonism we came across first so that our testimony of the Book of Mormon could be equated with knowledge that that particular sect was the true church started by Joseph Smith.

Simon:
Would you feel comfortable with "The Sect of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints"?
Why or why not?
