So much depends on perspective. In many of the people who have left Mormonism, there is a confidence that Mormonism has been proven untrue to them. What you believe governs your own decisions, not theirs.

I am not on youtube claiming that islam is untrue. How can I make that statement when it hasn't been proven untrue? And that is my point. Mormonism has not been proven untrue. It is assumption and speculation that is in the linked video.

Confidence is not fact. For Mormonism to be untrue, it must be proven to be false. And at this moment, there is no proof that it is false.

Well then maybe you should stop making these assertions, since your confidence is not fact.

For Mormonism to be untrue, it must be proven to be false. And at this moment, there is no proof that it is false.

LOL Actually Mormonism does not have to be proven to be false in order to be untrue. It is either true or untrue regardless of what anyone thinks or believes. Again just becuase you don't believe there is sufficient evidence to prove it untrue, doe not mean that there is not sufficient proof, only insufficient for you, although I suspect that any amount would be insufficient for some people.

Yes.
Mormonism ceased being a compelling topic for me when I finally came to terms with its transformation from a personality cult into a combination of a real estate company, a SuperPac, and Westboro Baptist Church. - Kishkumen

In a way yes. However, when it comes to religion, people depend on the holy ghost to confirm truth. Also, it is one thing to know and quite another thing to believe. Members should claim: I believe the church to be true. And not the verb 'to know'.

Critics as merc make a claim that they know that the lds church is untrue. And they state it as if the lds church has been proven to be untrue which is of course not true.

If I make a claim that something is untrue, I must prove it conclusively. This has not been done with the lds church. Now of course, from the lds church's early beginnings people have been going around trying to disprove it. But now the window of opportunity is closing. The window was definitely open when Smith, Rigdon, Cowdery, Harris, Emma, and the witnesses that are not mentioned here were alive.

But the people out there attempting to prove the lds church untrue failed miserably. And thus, here we are several decades later still debating this issue.

What do you care about fact, why me? I mean really! You accept the witness of 19th century frontier bumpkins that Joseph Smith had gold plates written by ancient American Hebrews! Are your beliefs really that well grounded in facts that you feel confident fulminating at me? LOL.

Well, you really shouldn't. You see, in order to demand that I prove something false, you need to have provided me some good reason to think it is true first. Not one LDS apologist has. I have no reason to believe that there ever was an ancient Israelite civilization in the Americas. To try to prove a 19th-century religious fantasy false would be a stupid waste of my good time.

But don't worry; you are free to continue to believe it is factual ancient history on the basis of close to no evidence at all. It certainly is your right.
