Thews, I don't think the point is hard to miss here. The web site he linked to is pretty clearly written by a guy who actually thinks the Kinderhook Plates really were authentic! He's attacking the apologetic defense of Joseph that's based on agreeing that the plates were a fraud, but distancing Joseph Smith from the pronouncements about them.
I really like that, actually. Someone's actually got the stones to say hey, my Prophet took these seriously, and I believe he was really a Prophet, so I'm taking them seriously too, damnit!

I agree. As an FYI, Yahoo Bot's argument was the same. He believed 9 foot Egyptians once scoured the Americas dropping plates. His argument centered on the size of the plate that was found, claiming it was a forgery.
