The church office building is ENORMOUS!

In another thread, there were a few pictures posted of the "COB". Thanks Quasi.
(I was informed that the "COB" is the church office building in Salt Lake City).
Although I am not sure why (as I offered in the other thread, perhaps it's my own ignorance showing), I was very very surprised by the size of the COB (It's HUGE!)
This has made me most curious.
What all is in that building?
Are they all LDS offices?
Have any of you ever been in the building?
Is that where FAIR/FARMS is?
Is it open to the public (Can Ceeboo go poking around?)
Can President Monson be found there?
Anything else you can offer to help me get a better understanding?
by the way: There was one picture that shows three structures (Temple, Hotel, and COB) and I will simply and only suggest that it is most interesting.
Anyhooo, I was blown away by the pics.

It is all LDS offices.

Once upon a time, they let anyone go up to the observation deck. I did that when I was younger.
Is that where FAIR/FARMS is?
FAIR and the Maxwell Institute are totally separate things, and neither of them are located in the COB. The Maxwell Institute, for example, is on the BYU campus in Provo.
Is it open to the public (Can Ceeboo go poking around?)
Before 9/11 it was.
