I guess Elohim grew tired of the best spirits up there bugging him about them getting their bodies, so he upped his spirit drop rate for the best of the pre-mortal spirits by 2x to get them out of his flowing white hair.

..as nearly 10,000 children in the state of Utah have been diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), which includes autism, Asberger's and Pervasive Developmental Disorder-Not Otherwise Specified (PDD-NOS).

Perhaps, but it does not keep the Mormon grandparnets/parents(chapel stripe) of the mentally challenged standing up and bearing fervent testimony of the "special spirits" that god has trusted them with to simply gain a body.

Growing up in the shadow of SLC, I heard this so often at church, that I did not know it was not "the official position" of the church.

Do the 'most valiant, saved for these last days' include Chinese, Arabs, Iranians and Congolese types? Or are the 'most valiant' just the white ones in America and these others who are not 'white & delightsome' the 'best of the worst' who are born without the advantages of being white and in the land of promise?

Nope but the idea is silly. If the most valiant always have handicaps Jesus should have been autistic, had Down's syndrome, and been crippled.

Are the retarded some of the most valiant? Maybe. Does it matter that much? Not really.

On a practical note I really don't want another reason for the autistic and asperger's sufferers to talk about their superiority over everyone else.
