The Mission Poll

Since this is MDB's unofficial poll-a-pulooza day, I felt the peer pressure to start this one.
Vote up to three, but just 1 of the first 4 options.

Dang, no option for me. My mission was to create earthly tabernacles for God's spirit children.

And it was a lucky man who got to help you out in that regard. I bet you made some good friends.

My mission put events into motion that led up to leaving the church so I have to be glad I went. I strongly suspect I'd still be a Mormon without it. And I saw another part of the world ... the third world, but I wouldn't call it a hell hole.

My mission was to a small SE Asian country. With a rifle in a Ranger company. So, I can't vote either.

I would like to get another chance. If I could do it again, I would with the intent to:
1. Learn the language and culture of the people I worked with
2. Skip all religious study in the mornings and replace it with outdoor activity and excercise
3. Not worry about any mission rules unless they coincide with my personal goals and desires to learn about other people.
4. Go on some dates to ensure that I don't lose my cool with women after 2 years of bridled passions (i.e. Go to simple dates once per month.
5. Get a job to pay for my expenses to keep a sense of responsibility
6. Avoid all preaching of religion but ask the people about their beliefs
I was only able to accomplish #1.

I am who I am cause I did what I've done. I can't say that I have regrets and there were good aspects from it all. BUT, if wishes were fishes and I could do it all again, I wouldn't.

Hello,
My mission:

Lima, Cuzco, the Amazon, Ica, and a small copper mining town.
Not bad. Like Mr. Zeezrom I'd do it differently if I had to do it again, but overall I'm glad I did it. It wasn't easy, that's for sure.

Who would have thought Peru would look like Bolivia? :-) My mission is part of me. There's no point in regretting. I learned some valuable lessons about myself and about life on my mission, and I'm grateful for them.
Here's me on my mission:
