The Phenomenology of Will Shyriver: The Case of a Fallen Notable Apologist
At this point it is beyond speculation that Bill is on his way to leaving the Church.
Although, it should be noted I am sure many would like to keep him around so he can continue to assault those that question the Church. How often do we see this notable apologist encourage members of the Church to leave if said members voice concerns?
More curiously, I have yet to see any member of the Fair board or MI rebuke Bill for his terribly sexist, racist, and forceful behaviors. Perhaps because Bill holds a high station in the hierarchy of Mormon Apologetics he is not going to be rebuked?

So the question I pose: How long until Bill leaves the Mormon faith?
I would guess within the next three years Bill will be on his way out the door. He will have finally snapped, which has been seen before, and realize that his exciting yet silly tales of ciphers have done nothing but delay his inevitable departure. Moreover, if Bill does not get published than I see him leaving in a vengeful manner due to his thirst for notoriety. To Bill, not getting published, is an extreme slap in a face to such a high standing apologist.

Not until he's totally ostracized himself from the group. But he won't go "ex-mo" - he'll simply turn to the trailer park lifestyle that he seems to have been born to lead.

You raise a fine point, would Bill make a strong leader for the other side?

Oh no. He'd be a liability to any side he supported. If he suddenly came out against the church I'd still be facepalming every time he opened his mouth.

OMG! If he leaves the church, I hope he keeps the hell out of our trailer park. He's only fun as an apologist.

Why would Will be leaving the church?
... she said that she was ready to drive up to Salt Lake City and confront ... Church leaders ... while well armed. The idea was ... dropped ... [because] she didn't have a 12 gauge with her.
