Are stemelbow and S Belmont on a short, unannounced hiatus?
Last post by stem, 3:13 PM on Monday, May 16th. Unusual absence, particularly disconcerting given the 'piss poor human' thread he last started about himself.
Last post by Simon Belmont, 10:15 PM on Tuesday, May 17th. Also an unusual absence.
So what's going on that anyone might know and be able to divulge?

I can think of several reasons for their lack of posting, none of which include your assumption, SP.
Cut 'em a break. Maybe they're on vacation? Business trip? Turned off the internet? Threw their computer against the wall? Are busy doing something more fun (I assume they're both married...)...?

(Nevo, Jan 23) And the Melchizedek Priesthood may not have been restored until the summer of 1830, several months after the organization of the Church.

What's my assumption? Sincerely. Keep in mind, I titled it a SHORT unannounced hiatus.

Maybe they're preparing for the Rapture, or the post-Rapture looting.
That's General Leo. He could be my friend if he weren't my enemy.

Which are you betting on? I hope it is the latter.

Neither--both assume that the Rapture is going to happen this weekend. I might use it an excuse to party with some friends though. Depends on whether I still have a nasty cold and on how my wife feels.

In mopologetic speak (imagine the voice of DCP), upon closer analysis, actually 'post-Rapture looting' doesn't require the Rapture to happen this weekend. stem and Simon could just loot the homes and businesses of those that believe the Rapture is going to happen and have traveled to where they think a better vantage point might be.

You don't give a stem?
Re: Are stemelbow and S Belmont on a short, unannounced hiatus?

Reports of my hiatus have been greatly exaggerated. I am alive and well, living in 1885... no, wait, that's not it. Truly, I am alive and well, but have been on a very long (and somewhat boring) business trip -- a trip in which the only real highlight was that I got to make a stop in Provo, UT to see my parents.

Yes, that is the last time I posted, because that is the last day I purchased Internet at the convention center I was visiting. Now, though, I am entirely somewhere different, posting from a hotel room.
I'll be back next week, hopefully.
